We live in a vortex of abundantly talented people, and it is an amazing time to share their stories. As a Toronto based Communications Professional with specialties in media relations, public sector communications, and communications and events planning which spans the creative industries, as well as provincial politics, I have worked at the ROM, the CBC, Harbourfront Centre and Toronto Caribbean Carnival, as well as big impact clients and events, including The Toronto Mass Choir, the Archie Alleyne Scholarship Fund, The Harry Jerome Awards, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, The Fringe Festival, the Barbados Tourism Ministry, and others.

Growing up, I learned about the importance of political discourse at the dinner table, so why not get involved in the decisions in that space as closely and directly as possible? As a former Press Secretary for a Cabinet Minister at Queen’s Park (2009-2011), I took on roles as Communications Director for a local Provincial Election campaign in the GTA (2011), and continue to provide communications expertise to municipal and provincial election campaigns and candidates.

Combining my love of the arts and politics, I have served in the boards and governance space for Operation Black Vote Canada (OBVC), the Canadian Association of Black Journalists (CABJ), Art Starts Neighbourhood Cultural Centre and others.
